This was Paul Cezanne's favourite view around his home town of Aix En Provence. He painted it many, many times. I was trying to create my own impression of this mountain in his style, and at the start I found it very difficult. Eventually I think I got my head around his approach and started to get the feel that Cezanne himself created.
