John Waterhouses' work has been accepted and hung in The Royal Academy of Art.
Until just over five years ago, self-taught painter was renowned for his romantic portrayals of the English Landscape. However, since then he has dedicated himself to the depiction of the female form which allows him to express his emotions though glowing surfaces, sumptuous details and softly lit forms of his models. His paintings have been praised for their luminosity, which is achieved through building up layers of oil paint to create a feeling of depth and substance.
John Waterhouse was a Finalist in the prestigious Fine Art Trade Guild's 'Up and Coming Artist' award for 2003 and he won the award in 2004.
