I painted this piece having been all fired up from painting the Houses of Parliament in the style of Monet, on my first series of 'Rolf on Art'. I really wanted to catch this scene in the fog and this particular one was painted late afternoon, when there was a thick fog coming in front the right hand side.
It was done on a pre-painted sheet of hardboard. You can see the turquiose-blue under-paint showing through the brush strokes of the sky.
